Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles is a non profit 501(c)3, no kill rescue committed to saving all types of German Shepherd Dogs from high kill shelters and adopting them to loving, qualified homes.

Westside German Shepherd Rescue says goodbye to a kind and generous man! Whenever we were reaching out for help, either for a badly injured dog or trying to raise funds for a down payment on our kennel, there was always a generous donation from Martin and a sweet note to follow. Martin not only loved dogs but also elephants. The good work Martin did for both continues: he made on-going provisions for both, so his legacy of love and support continues! Martin also made provisions for his beloved Shepherd Ollie, who will join the family of a close friend. Martin was an inspiration to us and a reminder that life can change quickly and to be always prepared!

How to help our rescue with your Estate Planning

Westside German Shepherd Rescue (WGSR) doesn’t want to say “No” to any dog in need, even when others may have to. We are supported entirely through philanthropic donations, adoption fees, and fundraisers. Because we are a non-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes to support our Rescue. You can specify for dog’s health care, education, whatever you wish. If no specific request then, WGSR will use your gift in the area of greatest need.
